Oh dear. Crap. You've spun me into a feedback loop. It is a very decent Malkmus solo record. All Pavement records are solo Malkmus, with backing support from Spiral Stairs. It's a shame Gary couldn't have stayed. Lyrically, he's gone deeper and the music represents his entire fab record collection, taste and musicianship. Not to mention his delicious fingers.

Well, it kind of is. It's a very poor Pavement album, a pretty decent Malkmus solo record.
